Avery Day 2010

My sweet Avery Rose, born September 28th, 2004. She was my 'biggest' triplet weighing in at 2lbs 9ozs. The NICU nurses always described her as "being her star self" when we would ask for an update. She arrived home from the hospital on November 29th and this year she celebrated her 6th Avery Day.
She is my PINK princess and by tradition, received a pink rose. Avery also requested her cake be tiered--or "stacked up" as she described it. I'm not sure why I agreed to tackle such a cake, but let's just say that frosting covered a multitude of sins.


Devil's food cake with strawberry frosting in between the layers and vanilla frosting over the entire cake---and of course Cinderella topped it off....

Cora has to take part in the celebration. It was hard for her not to look forward to Cora day coming up.....


Brock was taking it all in......

The cake was delicious if I do say so myself. ;)
