Cora Day 2010

Six years ago I brought home a tiny, but feisty, little baby girl. She wasn't even big enough for an infant carrier and traveled home on December 5th, 2004, in a a car bed! Some things have changed in the last 6 years, but Cora's feistiness still remains.

The traditional purple flower---It really is a shade of purple! Cora thought otherwise upon first inspection......

Her shirt reads: Sweet as Cake.....let's just say she can be that sweet! LOL. Cora requested her cake be: "exactly like Avery's, except purple where she had pink, and I DON'T want the frosting to have a flavor like hers was strawberry!" Cora is all about the details.
Hurry up DaD and GiVe Me My CaKe!!!!!!!!

This is my Cora Belle!!!
*********
Sunday was a marathon of events starting with Cora Day celebrations of food and fun. I also took the girls to pick out a Christmas tree and we put that up, decorated it, AND got the annual triplet Christmas card pictures taken. I took 124 photos and used 4 for our Christmas cards!!! Thank goodness Brock was born in the digital age. I wonder if this will be the last year for photo Christmas cards???? Perhaps I'll do a poll and see.... LOL

Please keep ABC in your thougths this week. Avery and Cora need well wishes on Thursday for their surgery to remove tonsils, adenoids, and place ear tubes. Brock needs good vibes as well because I told him he has to be on 'cruise control' while his sisters require so much attention! There could be a stressful week of healing once this surgery is complete. The anxiety level is very low here and the girls haven't brought up their procedures. We were doing well keeping the tonsils part under wraps until daddy dearest decided to bring it up one night right before bedtime! Somehow I was able to brush that under the rug for a little while longer.
They FREAKED on the way to their pre-op blood test a couple weeks ago. Each knew they were going to get a hearing test, but didn't know of the blood draw..................... until 1 block from the hospital when I made the announcement. My van was filled with SCREAMS of "NOOOOO mom NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Avery eventually settled and regained her composure. Cora however, had to be dragged in --kicking and screaming. I also had to lay on top of her so the lab tech could draw her blood! She acted like she was going to hyperventilate, but soon got it together when I said we had time to make a quick trip to Target before the hearing test. :)
I'm thinking the Target bribe will do nothing for the trauma/drama following their surgeries on Thursday...... Pehaps it's worth a try?
Until next time!
