Brock is one tough cookie and keeps trucking along. His smiles and infectious charm seem to warm the hearts of all who encounter him.
This morning, Brock had to endure an early wake up and travel in the cold to get a blood test. We had to wait for "his" lab tech to finish with some inpatients, but she was able to get Brock on the first stick. However, that vein didn't provide enough so he was stuck yet again---but with success. When we returned home, we celebrated by making lasagna and baking cupcakes. (Now, if only a nap were in my future!)
Since I refer to him as my Brock-E-Bear, every Brock day, he receives a bear. (E is for Brock Edmond)
Star shaped Funfetti cupcakes with chocolate frosting were the treats for the day. I must say, they were incredibly delicious!
Such a sly grin here.....
Oh, the stress of getting a good picture of this boy!!!!!!!!!! The cupcakes and bear are cooperating at least. :)
Brock also got a cool guitar. He can make it play just by placing his hand in the shining beam of light, or he can bang on its buttons to make music.
I decided to turn Brock loose with one of his cupcakes....after all it is HIS day, right? Oh my, what a mess, but the smiles were worth all the cleanup. Below, I captured some of the event on video. The comments from the girls in the background are just as entertaining as Brock smashing his cake!
Happy Brock Day! Here's to many more! :)
