You each need to look at this little guy with all his smiles and tell me he doesn't have quality of life.... With each grin and giggle, I think back to that evil doctor from the NICU that harassed us to end Brock's life support "because he will have no quality of life." My man is a happy little fella and I know that he brings joy to others too.
Today he had his therapeutic horseback riding lesson and he rode with a rider. Previous rides he was by himself and was just held with side walkers. I was so proud of him today---he also had so much FUN!! --Hence the record number of smiles! : )
I have also included some pics of Brock in a new "chair." It is called a Child Rite seat for special needs kiddos. For any of you that are familiar with the Bumbo, it is very similar to that only larger---both in size and PRICE! It is on trial for 30 days because this silly hard foam chair is about 3.5 times the cost of the Bumbo..... Brock really looks great in the seat, however it only comes in orange. (Apparently to keep costs down! LOL) I found it funny that the day Brock's child rite seat was delivered, he was wearing ORANGE! Of course I had to take lots of pictures. Enjoy my special smiley boy!

I love little Brock-E!! That doctor didn't know what the heck he was talking about.
I knew it would be a good day for pics!!! He looks AMAZING on that horse. Pete looked pretty cool himself.
And, the orange chair is a KEEPER!!! Look how amazing his posture is. AND, can I point out how BIG his smile is when he is in there? You cannot put a price on that!!!
The orange chair is definitely a keeper, he looks great in it! We heard the same thing from that dr., and now look at our 2 happy, smiley little guys!!
OHMYGOSH! These pictures brought tears of joy! Not only is that orange chair a KEEPER but SO IS OUR BROCK-E-BEAR!!!! I wish I had the quality of life that that little sweetheart emits to everyone that he touches.
Thanks Peg for the updates and for being Mom Of The Year every year since 2004. What blessings you brought into our lives 9/28/04.
HUGE (((HUGS))) and MUCH LOVE to ALL!
Signed,
A very happy and proud great-aunt
P.S. I hope you're still teaching and working with our boy so that one day soon you can take him to Peoria where he can kick that idiot doctor where it will REALLY HURT! Now THAT picture I want on video!! ;-)
