Hangin' In There....

Things are fairly uneventful here compared to sometimes when I post, and that is usually a GOOD thing!
Brock had an appointment with a pediatric GI, last Tuesday. I really liked the doctor and he was very personable towards Brock and me. The dr. didn't really know why Brock has been having the vomiting episodes. He didn't rule out Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, but that was not his first thought as a diagnosis. All we did was change Brock's Prevacid, from 30 mg in the evening, to 15 mg both morning and evening, and schedule some tests.
So much for the tests..... Brock was to have an Upper GI and a Small Bowel Follow Through today, but he has a bad cold and I had to cancel. Brock officially discontinued his Valproic Acid on Friday night. I still am desperately clinging to the idea that it was causing the vomiting...... All fingers crossed????
Saturday, Jason and I took the trio to Tanner's Orchard. Brock was doing great until on the drive over he acted like he was starting into a seizure and from then on he was very quiet and tired. When we got home, Brock SNEEZED a humongous snot rocket and I quickly knew why Brock had been so quiet and not acting like his typical self! Colds with Brock usually manifest into sinus infections or upper respiratory crud......so I cancelled the GI testing and have my snotty little guy sitting next to me today. Nasal spray and Vick's Vapor rub seem to be easing his symptoms, for now. I'm not sure what the days ahead will bring. It would be amazing if this were just a transient cold.........
We shall see.
Avery and Cora are doing great. They had haircuts and school pictures last week, and tonight is their first DANCE CLASS! I told myself I would not be "the type" that runs my kids around to multiple activities, but already now Avery and Cora are in piano lessons and now dance. Brock needs another activity besides medical related appointments, those are time consuming AND exhausting. ;)
I'll leave you all with a link to our Tanner's Orchard photo album. We each had a really fun day....picking apples, playing in the play yard, tasting cider, etc. Hands down, my favorite part was purchasing cider donuts and devouring 1 (or maybe 2) on the drive home! LOL
Until next time.........
