Apparently, no one is safe from the nasty bugs. Cora ended up getting a fever Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday morning, the boy spiked a temp and had a seizure.
I took Brock to the pediatrician Thursday morning where he had a rapid flu test that tested positive for influenza A. He was prescribed Tamiflu for 5 days. He is pitiful. Last night was rough. He had chills that made him shiver like crazy. For a moment, I really thought he was having a different type of seizure. He wimpered and cried, and looked completely awful! Motrin helped so I was giving that every 6 hrs. The worst part, is that the girls were each on their own schedule and of course it wasn't the same as Brock's..... I was playing nurse all night.
Avery's cough is still so terrible. It is such a dry, constant cough. She got sick on Sunday, and now today on Friday is not well! Cora seems to be handling it the best. She gets a little quiet when her fever comes up, but a little Motrin and she is as good as new. Rather frustrating, considering Avery has been down so long and poor Brock is downright miserable.
I'm ready for summer. Some HOT sun to bake away the germies please??
I've said before, that perhaps with such a severe start to the flu season maybe, just MAYBE, we can have a decent winter!
Please pray for all the sick kiddos out there.....mine are not the only ones miserable with this.
