Wouldn't you know that we are always up to something here with our 3 kiddos.....Lately it is no different. Jason was gone for about a week to Indianapolis for meetings and I decided to invest in something for Brock! : ) The boy loves water. The sound the feel, everything..... Well, a pool is not practical at this point so I was looking at some spas/hot tubs. I found one! And those of you that know me, know that I can't shop for anything without looking on Ebay first. So....that is exactly where I found this new "addition"! It is a great hot tub and we have already had fun in it. Cora is a dare devil and wants to "swim" all around. Avery however, is much more apprehensive and does a death grip around my neck---enough to pull me over once. She claims she likes it, but hates the jets on full force as it scares her too much. Brock was an absolute clown when he got in. We got him an inflatable vest and it was high on his neck---reminded me of an immobilizer collar type thing! Anyway he smiled the moment he got in, but yet was giving a look like "where am I and what is going on?"..... We eventually took off his vest and let him splash his arms. He was loving it!
I also need to update on Brock's ear situation. Last Friday he went under and the ENT cleaned out his ears and tubes. Clean as a whistle according to the doctor. All signs tell me this is going to be the answer. Brock still reaches up to his left ear, but rather than moaning and crying he just breifly feels his ear and nothing more. I think it is now habit for him to grab that ear! LOL Keep your fingers crossed that Brock is free from ear pain for a LONG time!
Below you will see pics of the hot tub installation, Brock trying out his new gait trainer, and also a special video. I am so proud of this little boy. He has been using his hands so much more and I couldn't have asked for a better demonstration than in this video. A friend of mine sent the kids some toys---the girls have mastered the potty and she sent rewards. Brock was included on the gift giving and got some cool tonka cars. He was having a ball with them. The therapy minded mom here was especially excited to see 2 handed play, exploration, and even a hand to hand transfer! WOW Brock-E-Bear!!!

What a great spa! Looks like you will get a lot of use out of it. And the video of Brock is awesome :)
Awesome job Brock! That smile is priceless. And the hot tub looks like a lot of fun, has he ever tried warm water therapy? Ryan just loves it, and it sounds like Brock would too.
That little "pond" looks like fun! Ebay comes through again!
What a fantastic video. He is my little hero! He sure is improving with his hand work.
The girls are growing like weeds, Peg! What are you feeding them around that farm? :-)
Have a FUN and SAFE 4th!
